This professional workshop is inspired by tradition and history of Istria. Wines that will be enjoyed by small number of professionals are: Clai, Dedicato a Martina 2007, Clai Sv. Jakov 2008, Roxanich Classica 2006 i Roxanich Antica 2007. Cigar that will match this unique selection is Romeo y Julieta Escudos Limited Edition 2007, a cigar that has recently, after 4 years, reached it’s peak in perfection. The purpose of this workshop is to clarify magical connection between unique, rare wines and unique vintage Cuban cigars. Moderator for wines is Mr. Darko Baretić. On the location of stancija Meneghetti, one of the top exclusive destinations and, at the same time, creation place of incredible wines and olive oils, their chef Jean-Yves will contribute with his famous French touch in making rich traditional Istrian breakfast (fritaja, asparagus, sausages, ombolo…). This food jewels will be served with Meneghetti sparkling wine. After visit to the winery and tasting of some wines and olive oils the plan is to chill out with fine Habano and Meneghetti red wine – the combination that works. @ Stancija Meneghetti, Bale (Lat: 45°0’30″N Lon: 13°44’46″E)
Last year’s established traditional dinner with launching of regional edition cigar Vegas Robaina Marshal has a sequel this year. The special guest of the dinner is cigar legend by himself, Mr. Simon Chase and the dinner is dedicated to UK vintage cigar concept. During this occasion Mr. Chase will not run auction like he always does on Gala dinners on the Habanos festival in Havana, but he will present “The Great Book of The Habano” and enjoy special menu created by Chef Tomislav Gretić. The event that takes place for the third year in a row and is dedicated to one of it’s founders Andi Šipetić Demian who tragically deceased in 2010. Exhibition is open to visitors from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. One-day ticket price is 80kn. Price sets of tickets for three days is 200 kn. Cash deposit for tasting glasses is 40kn. Possible changes in the program.
